Inline images are shown in their full size. This is quite inconvenient when it's big pictures, which are only partially shown, so one is forced to open the attached file separately to get a full view, making it useless to show images inline.
plus, the scrollbars are shown, stealing space to the body of the message.

Instead, a thumbnail or a reduced version (such as in Firefox or other browsers, where images are shown in a fit-screen dimension until one zooms by clicking) should be shown in the message.
