INBOX shows up empty - but has 32000 mails in it!

It has been working fine, but recently when using RoundCube 0.4-beta, my INBOX has been showing up empty. In the left column I can see how many new mails I have (stated in parenthesis next to "INBOX") - but the message pane is completely empty. If I receive new mails while logged in, they show up as the only ones.
