Can't see new mail in RoundCube Client

Really like the interface on this webmail client which is the reason i chose this over the others available. Since choosing it I have set up myriad folder and received tonnes of mail, however not without some issues.
most seemed to have been resolved however there is one that is bugging me big time.
At least once a day, and usually after I have emptied my inbox, i will try to refresh the inbox as the application indicates messages have arrived. After doing so, rather than being presented with the new unread emails, the system reverts to the first emails I ever received in Round Cube.
It's quite strange and furthermore, if there are five new unread emails it will list my first five and any subsequent arrivals will add the next old email to the list. These emails are presented as both read and deleted.
i have attached a screenshot.
sometimes this issue will dissappear if i continue to refresh either the inbox on the left panel or the get mail icon. other times i have to either relogin or quite my browser and even restart but that's never a guarantee. this issue could last 10 minutes or 10 hours.
I am using Firefox 3.0.10 on Mac OSX 10.5.7. The webmail client was selected once I had registered with MediaTemple? for my ISP.
love the program but very frustrating to use.
