#1485840 closed Feature Requests (fixed)

Add preference "reply to HTML messages in HTML format"

Reported by: rivimont Owned by: alec
Priority: 5 Milestone: 0.5-beta
Component: Core functionality Version: 0.2.1
Severity: normal Keywords: html, format, reply, preference
Cc: jamen@…

Description

It would be great to have this as a preference. I usually don't write HTML e-mails but its nice to be able to reply to HTML messages in the HTML format to preserve all of the formatting. This is an option with many mail clients. It would be great to see it in RoundCube.

there's a note that said this was fixed in [868deb5d]; however I tested this using the beta [600bb156]

1.) replying to an HTML message, displays the message as plain text with some sort of array:

I copied the plain text that was displayed in an editor and pasted it: http://pastebin.com/Ad2hxCst

2.) noted in the email correspondence item #4.

FORWARD: Here I'm not sure, but I think editor should be set like for
NEW/EDIT mode. When we implement "forward-as-attachment" we should set
editor like for NEW message.

I understand that the html editor would behave the same for replying and forwarding html messages. could we get this fixed for forwarding too?

If you need test access i can provide it.

This is how links in html message are converted to text.

This doesn't have anything to do with links, it has to do with the ticket subject: Add preference "reply to HTML messages in HTML format/forward HTML messages in HTML format" which at this time does not work.

It works for me. It looks like the message is HTML, but reply is in text. What do you have in "Compose HTML messages" option?
