Description
In the age of co-existing wide-screen and "normal" aspect ratio monitors as well as mobile devices with "weird" aspect ratio screens, I think it would be a good idea to make the folder list width configurable by the user.
The fact that it's fixed now is especially problematic for users with long folder names or a deep hierarchy (or both), because they can't read the folder names at all (horizontal scrolling is not possible) - which is kind of ridiculous when that user works on a 30 inch wide-screen monitor.
I'm not sure if it would be better to let the user specify a width in pixels (or maybe percent?) through the user settings, or make it adjustable with the mouse, like it's currently possible for the (horizontal) message list / preview divider right now. What do you think?
