Description

Hi....Everything else appears to be working properly, but when an eml file is sent as an attachment all that roundcube reads is the "Subject" "To" "From" and "Time" fileds...The message area is blank..

comment:1 Changed 5 years ago by alec

We need more info. Please, attach whole message with headers (just remove private data), that we can reproduce problem. I've tested on thunderbird sending reply with attached message and in roundcube was no problem with that.

comment:2 Changed 5 years ago by yitbos

How do I display all the header information in roundcube ?

comment:3 Changed 5 years ago by yitbos

I am running Windows 2000...IIS 5 PHP 5.2.5.5 MySQL 5....I keep thinking it has something to do with the MIME type

You either fetch it from your server directly or you open the same mailbox in Thunderbird.

I am marking this as duplicate too.

Please continue in #1484973

I attached a message..When I retrieve a message with this attached to it I cannot open or see the attachment.

comment:6 Changed 5 years ago by alec

Please, attache whole message with .eml attachment, not only attachment. There's Show source button in message preview page.

My issue is completely different then the other one, so I don't know why you
marked it as a duplicate.
I cannot READ .eml attachments in Roundcube

This guy : http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1484973
Cannot SEND attachments from Roundcube without them being corrupted. I do
not have this problem.

They are not the same. Please reopen my ticket, and don't mark it as
duplicate. I would like to get it resolved.
I have attached a .eml file to the bugtrac.

Thanks,
Jason Levine

OK. Just so you know, I updated your ticket and also marked it as
duplicate. Nothing personal, but let's continue in the ticket with the
attachments, please supply a sample message so we can check it out.

Thanks for helping. :-)

Isn't eml a microsoft outlook thing?

Btw, is this your ticket?
http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1485027

I replied to it and updated with suggestions.

OK. I did what it said and posted a message also.

Any idea where I might start ?
My installation of Roundcube will not read attachements of email

messages(.eml). All I get is the "Subject" "To" "From" and "Time"

It will read attachments of any other file type.

Hi ,

I think this must be a configuration issue, but I am not able to

I can read any other attachements and everything else is working
beautifully.

any suggestions on where to start ?

any update ? Do you need something else from me ?

comment:9 Changed 5 years ago by yitbos

bump.

comment:10 Changed 5 years ago by yitbos

I narrowed the problem down a little further.
I successfully was able to read an eml attachment that was sent from google webmail.

but when I send from a standalone outlook express client the same attachment is not readable.

Alec..
Were you able to confirm this problem ?

  • Component changed from Client Scripts to MIME parsing
  • Milestone changed from 0.2-alpha to 0.2-beta

Replying to yitbos:
Please add the message source as attachment to this ticket. When posting it as comment things get corrupted and we cannot test it.

Works for me. Please check svn-trunk version and reopen if it's still not working for you.

Can you confirm if this still doesn't work with the SVN version? Only re-open then.

comment:19 follow-up: Changed 5 years ago by yitbos

Some other things I have noticed....with any other file attachment type other then an eml file the name of the file is readable...with an eml file attachment it always names the file "HTML message"....

Also when you try to open the attachment you get this error :

[11-Jun-2008 18:36:39] PHP Warning: array_merge() [<a href='function.array-merge'>function.array-merge</a>]: Argument #2 is not an array in D:\roundalpha\program\include\html.php on line 607

There was an issue with the same error here : http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1484281

I verified that my roundcube version is patched for this.

array_merge issue was fixed in truck, but it's not related with this ticket's subject

Works fine for me with the attached email. Attachment is shown inline. Using php 5.2 on Debian Etch.

comment:23 Changed 5 years ago by tensor

Tested on Debian lenny, php 5.2.6.
Works for me, too, with attached message in the svn-trunk.

But I cannot see the line between the body and .eml in IE 7 and Opera 9.52.
The line is present in FF 3.0.1.
