Images not dispaying in browser - images corrupted when downloaded through RC

When an image is attached to an email message, the file is corrupted. Clicking on the 'paperclip' icon opens a new browser window but nothing is displayed apart from: http://www.mydomain.com/roundcube/?_task=mail&_action=get&_mbox=INBOX&_uid=1423&_part=2

The link to download the image works, and am able to download to desktop, however on opening, image file is corrupted.

IMAP server has been tested - when email is downloaded using MS Outlook using IMAP, image is not corrupted.

Looks like the same problem I had (bug 1484902) Do yo also not have the Fileinfo module installed?

Maybe you just have some white-space in your config or localization files which is appended to the attachment file content. Please make sure that there are not chars outside the <?php ?> brackets in your config files.
