Subfolders containing spaces are not listed by default

Description

In my IMAP set up I have a folder called Mailing Lists which has several sub-folders, one of which (entitled "Zend Framework") contains a space in it. For some reason this folder is not shown in the folder list down the side by default. However, if I go into preferences, it is listed (but not subscribed to). Checking the subscribe box fixes this and makes the folder visible.

Change History

IMAP set-up: Courier IMAP using SASL auth running, Roundcube set-up: Apache 2 using modphp5 with a MySQL5 backend. General server set-up: Debian testing.

Other mail clients I have used (with the exception of Squirrel Mail), so KMail, Evolution and Thunderbird all pick up the folder and list it.

Sorry, I was not able to reproduce using 0.1-rc1 or trunk, running on Dovecot IMAP. The folders containing a space automatically showed up as expected (upon logging in or navigating from a different page).

If a folder is not subscribed - well of course it will not show up. And of course it will show up once you subscribed to it.

Double check if one of your clients does not subscribe folders by default - for example, Apple Mail likes to do that. Displays all folders regardless of subscription status and also doesn't subscribe folders it creates. Yay - who needs standards.

That is interesting, as I created the folder in Apple Mail (all other folders were created in other applications), which is probably why I was not subscribed by default. I guess other clients (KMail, Evolution and Thunderbird) just list them even if I am subscribed or not.
