compose (HTML) and font size

Description
Is it possible to set the default font size for compose? (dont think so).
When I compose the editor shows FONT = 12pt, but then I start typing it defaults to 8pt (which is very small). I have to always manually update again to 12pt. (see attachment).
Also - a small margin of a couple mm's would be good for left border + top in the compose window.
