I only have my corporate outlook 2003 open, no other clients open and no other roundcube session.

Is your Outlook 2003 also checking the same account that RoundCube is checking? Or is that a different mail account?
comment:4 Changed 6 years ago by evansv
It is just checking another mail account

- Owner changed from thomasb to fourat.zouari

I confirm this issue, same thing on [517]

I can't replicate the bug on my local RC version, can you check the session table and see if the 'changed' column keeps updated every 1minute while you're opening the 'Compose' screen ?
A 'steps-to-reproduce' cheat if possible will help debugging this issue.

Closing. Has been way too long! :)

Do you have another mail client such as Thunderbird or another RoundCube session open with this account? If so, there is already a trouble ticket for that problem: #1484136
If you have another mail program open and it sees the message first, the server will not tell RoundCube that there are any "recent" messages. RC only checks for recent messages when you click the "Check for new messages" button or when it automatically checks. When you refresh the browser window or navigate to another folder and back, it re-fetches the contents of the inbox.
