Preview pane and marking messages as read

Description

I am using SVN r394 with the Preview Pane turned on. When I click on a message to view it, its "read" status is not updated in the message list. However, if I refresh the view or go out of the mailbox and back in, the message has indeed been marked as read.

So the message is really being marked as read on the server, but the list isn't getting updated to reflect this.

I'm using the latest svn trunk (sorry I'm new to svn... I checked it out around May 2, 2007.. the newest entry in CHANGELOG is on 5/1/07) I have a related issue. When I view a message using the preview pane, it doesn't get marked as read... however, logging in then out doesn't solve it either. I also tried viewing the mailbox using Thunderbird Mail, and it's not updating the status there either.

Also tried marking previously read messages as "unread" using Thunderbird. Then logged into roundcube but they are not marked as "unread" in roundcube. This leads me to believe that roundcube is using its own mechanism to keep track of read/unread status, instead of using imap for this. This makes it difficult to switch between a regular imap client like Thunderbird, and Roundcube.

The only way to get a message marked read in Roundcube seems to be by double clicking on it.

Could anyone verify how RC is maintaining the read/unread status?

Thanks
