Description
When trying to use the spellchecker I receive the following error:
"Couldn't execute an AJAX call, server didn't return a valid XML"

Upon closer examination, this is not a duplicate or related to #1484080

This happens when you do not have the CURL module installed in your PHP installation.

i tested in svn 499 and it still has the same problem .. i even have curl on the server and its enabled with php but still the problem is there
