Description

Hi.

When emails are recieved with Content-Type: application/pgp (and Content-Type: application/gpg as far as I remember) the email is not shown. To see the contents of the email you need to "show source", and therefore open it in pure text format in a new window. I appreciate that this can be difficult, since you don't actually know much about the formatting of the email. Perhaps something that would just treat these as normal text emails would suffice?

This is a huge annoyance for me since I am on loads of security related mailing lists, where people tend to sign their emails. I also have friends that sign and/or encrypt mails. I can always use a different MUA/webmail for these, but I would love to be able to use Roundcube for this. Next step would of course be to support signing outgoing emails with gpg/pgp.. But that's a different story altogether.

Thanks for a fantastic product.

I sent several tests using Thunderbird/enigmail from one account to another using RoundCube (with SVN r415), and in each case RoundCube now displays the messages properly.

The messages I tested were either Content-Type: multipart/signed or Content-Type: multipart/encrypted -- obviously for the encrypted messages RoundCube was unable to decrypt them, but it did display an error stating that.

Are you still having problems?

I tested with some more messages (including some that were of type application/pgp) and it either made the signature an attachment, or told me the message was encrypted and could not be displayed. (which is expected as RoundCube doesn't currently support PGP/GPG encryption)

To be more clear about what you're asking, are you saying there should be an option that instead of displaying the "This message is encrypted..." in place of the body, it displays the body of the message with the encrypted block in plain text? And, perhaps, with a notice at the top of the window stating that it is encrypted?
