deleted folder requires logging out/in

I created a folder through RCW, verified via squirrelmail that it infact was there. Since RCW does not have the ability to delete folderes, I did so through squirrelmail. I checked in thunderbird that the folder was there and then gone and it was. Was gone in squirrelmail as well. RCW however still showed the folder as being active and alive. I tried to refresh the message listing through the top logo above the INBOX. Nothing worked. I logged out and logged back in and then the removed folder was officially gone in all clients.
